• About Victor Mitchell

Victor Mitchell, 52, of Castle Rock, Colorado is a successful Businessman and life-long entrepreneur who has founded and turned around varied companies ranging from wireless to technology to real estate services to finance.

Currently, Mitchell is the founder and CEO of Lead Funding, a specialty lending organization that provides innovative private financing solutions for homebuilders and developers, reducing their red tape and speeding up loan decisions. Lead Funding has experienced near-100% annual growth since its inception in 2009, serving clientele in several states.

Victor Mitchell has previously founded several successful wireless communications companies and turned around several others. His innovative management strategies allowed numerous “mom-and-pop” wireless retailers to achieve financial success by aggregating their selling power to bargain successfully for favorable rights from national wireless service providers. In 2000, one of his companies was named “Colorado Small Business of the Year” by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. The Denver Business Journal placed Mitchell on its coveted “top 40 under 40” list of business executives, and he was a finalist in Ernst and Young’s nationally recognized “Entrepreneur of the Year” contest. Mitchell has also been featured in Entrepreneur magazine.

Mitchell, along with his wife of 28 years, Amy, have been active in numerous civic and community organizations, including the Rotary Club and Meals on Wheels. He has served as an adjunct faculty member in the College of Business at Colorado State University and completed his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University and earned his master’s degree at The Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Born in New Jersey, Mitchell moved to New York as a child. His parents divorced, and his mother decided to move to California, despite being functionally blind and deaf. Young Victor couldn’t bear the thought of his mother facing the challenges alone, so he left his home, father, and two older sisters to support and care for his mother on the other side of the country. From age 13 onward, Mitchell held part-time jobs to help financially support his family as well as to pay his own way through college, working as a paper boy, bus boy, and whatever else would pay the bills. Ever the entrepreneur, at only 21 years of age while attending college, he started his first enterprise. Subsequently, he has never worked for anyone else.

Today, Victor Mitchell is an avid tennis player and enjoys traveling and hiking. Victor is a devoted father to his daughter, Lauren, aged 24, a computer scientist with JP Morgan; 21-year old son, David, a West Point Cadet; and daughter Emily, age 14, an 8th grader who is active with singing and acting. The Mitchell family is a member of Saint Thomas More Church in Centennial.
